Fun Community Events in Rochester, MN

An Evening with Richard Dawkins and Julia Sweeney: ON Tuesday June 9th from 4:30pm until 6:00pm you can enjoy an evening with science writer Richard Dawkins and former SNL actress Julia Sweeney at the Mayo Civic Center. They will field audience questions and there will be a book signing as well. Tickets for general seating are $35 and VIP seating is $250.

2015 Summer Film Camp: The 2015 Summer Film Camp will be held at the Rochester Public Library from 5:30pm to 8:30pm until September 2nd. The hands on workshop will go through every step of creating a film. For more information, contact 612-888-2824. Earn your own IMDB credit and admission is free.

Market and Music Festival: The Summer Market and Music Festival will be held on Thursdays until August 27th at 8:30pm. The festival is free and held at the downtown Peace Plaza. The festival features over 100 vendors, including food, arts, and crafts. There will be live entertainment. A great time for the entire family.

Movies on the Plaza: Movies will be shown for free at the Peace Plaza in downtown Rochester Saturday nights in June, July, and August at 9:00pm. You can bring your own chairs and blankets. The remaining movies in June will be the classic films Mary Poppins and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Farmer’s Market: The farmer’s market will be held on Saturdays in June from 7:30am until noon. Admission is free and produce from over 100 growers will be available for purchase.
