Frequently Asked Questions About Invisalign

Question: Can I receive a free consultation?

Answer: Yes. For our new patients interested in improving the appearance of their smiles, we offer a free cosmetic consultation. Employing advanced technology, including digital x-rays and intraoral cameras, we can examine your teeth and decide one the best course of treatment.

Question: Do I qualify for this procedure?

Answer: We recommend clear braces for patients who are over the age of 16 and have minor misalignment. More serious malocclusion may require other orthodontic solutions, such as metal braces. However, many people qualify for this practically invisible alternative to braces.

Question: How does Invisalign work?

Answer: With this option, we will take impressions and images of your teeth and send them to the Invisalign lab. There, specialists will create your custom-made plastic aligners. You will wear the aligners every day for between 20 and 22 hours. About every two weeks, you will upgrade to a new set. The entire treatment process typically takes around a year for adults and 18 months for teens. The exact time will depend on the severity of your alignment issues.

Question: What are the advantages of clear braces?

Answer: First, this option is barely noticeable and more comfortable, with patients experiencing a reduction in the gum and cheek irritation associated with braces. Second, the braces are removable, so you don’t need to change your diet and brushing/flossing will be much easier. Finally, this option requires fewer office visits, freeing up your schedule.
